Saturday Nights In: Choosing Rest And Chill
After a week behind the chair, there’s nothing I love more than a quiet Saturday night inside. My hair is wrapped, the candles are lit, and I’m sipping on a hot cup of ginger tea — trying to soothe this little cold that’s has appeared.
Even though I could’ve pushed myself to get out and socialize, especially since I am kid free; I decided to stay in and choose to feel good — right where I am. Sometimes, it’s not about doing more, it’s about being still enough to catch up with yourself again.
Tonight looks like catching up on my favorite YouTube shows, planning my week, and building a collage that reflects what I want this next season of my life to feel like. It’s simple, but it’s mine — and that’s the beauty of it.
If you’re in the mood for a cozy night in too, here’s a list of things you can do to unwind, reset, and enjoy your own company:
Things To Do on a Saturday Night In
-
Wrap your hair — let your scalp breathe and protect your style for the week ahead.
-
Make a cup of ginger or chamomile tea — add honey and lemon for a little TLC.
-
Catch up on your favorite YouTube or Netflix shows — no guilt, just comfort.
-
Create a vision collage — reflect on what’s inspiring you right now.
-
Plan your week ahead — set gentle intentions, not strict to-do lists.
-
Do a face mask or steam your skin — glow-up energy, even at home.
-
Journal or brain dump — clear space in your mind for new ideas to flow.
-
Put on your favorite playlist — something soft, soulful, or nostalgic.
-
Light a candle and stretch — release the tension from your week.
-
Call or voice note a friend — share a laugh or check in from the heart.
-
Tidy your space — not for perfection, but for peace.
-
Read a chapter of a book — something that feeds your spirit.
-
Take a long bath or shower — moisturize, wrap your robe, and rest.
Here’s to rest and choosing yourself
